报告人简介:
        Kai Nordlund is professor of computational materials physics and vice dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Helsinki. He received his PhD in physics in 1995 at the University of Helsinki, and after postdoc positions at the University of Illinois and Academy of Finland was appointed full professor at his alma mater in 2003. He is leading a 20-person research group doing quantum mechanical, classical and mesoscale atomistic simulations of radiation and other non-equilibrium effects in all classes of materials. As of 2015, he has published more than 400 refereed publications, and his h-index exceeds his age.
 
        Dr. Flyura Djurabekova completed her PhD in 1999. Currently Dr. Djurabekova is affiliated with Helsinki Institute of Physics and Department of Physics at University of Helsinki. She has over 100 publications in refereed international journals, including high ranking journals. She is the member of the international committee of the biannual conference Radiation Effects in Insulators and member of international advisory committee of the International conference “Ion-Solid Interactions”.  Dr. Djurabekova is one of the main organizers of annual workshop “Mechanisms of Vacuum Arcs” and the bi-annual symposium at EMRS meeting. She has been invited to deliver talks at different international conferences more than 30 times.
