On July 15, 2026, Symposium D31: Advanced Electrical Materials of China Materials Congress 2026 was successfully convened at Wuhan International Expo Center. Co‑organized by the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Hubei University of Technology, the State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment at Xi’an Jiaotong University, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Harbin University of Science and Technology, and the State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment Technology at Chongqing University, the symposium attracted more than 60 experts and scholars from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Hubei University of Technology, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Chongqing University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University and other institutions.

As an academic platform featuring in‑depth intersection between electrical engineering and materials science, this symposium not only presented the latest advances in advanced electrical materials in China, but also established a multi‑dimensional exchange hub spanning from basic research to engineering applications. While inheriting the discipline’s consistent emphasis on engineering practice, it effectively bridges basic research and frontier breakthroughs, injecting fresh momentum into the high‑quality development of China’s electrical materials industry.
